With registrations now open for the MSASA 2026 Day Conference & Annual General Meeting, we would like to provide delegates with some practical information to assist with travel and accommodation planning.
The conference will be held on Saturday, 10 October 2026 at Epworth Richmond, Victoria, bringing together Surgical Assistants from across Australia for a full day of education, professional development and networking.
Accommodation is Filling Quickly
Delegates travelling from interstate or regional areas should be aware that the Melbourne Marathon will be held on Sunday, 11 October 2026, the day following our conference.
As the marathon finishes near the MCG, accommodation in Richmond and surrounding suburbs is expected to be in high demand, particularly on Saturday night. Several nearby hotels have already reported limited availability.
For this reason, we strongly encourage delegates requiring accommodation to make arrangements as soon as possible.

MSASA is currently finalising a conference discount arrangement with the hotel and further details will be shared as soon as they become available.
Register Early to Secure Your Preferred Sessions
In addition to accommodation availability, delegates should be aware that several of this year’s breakout sessions will have limited capacity.
To ensure the best learning experience for attendees, places in these sessions will be allocated on a first registered, first allocated basis once session selections are released.
Registering early provides the greatest opportunity to secure your preferred breakout sessions and make the most of the conference program.
